Obituary of Gordon Marshall

Marshall, Gordon A., CA: Halifax, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the QEII, VG Site. Born at Port Lorne, Annapolis Valley, he was the son of the late Percy and Lowella Marshall. Gordon was a Chartered Accountant and he had owned and operated G. A. Marshall Ltd. for approximately 40 years, the last 10 years with his trusted administrative assistant, Jan. He had also owned and operated other businesses in Halifax and Dartmouth. He belonged to the Shriner’s, Masons, and Scottish Rite, having been proactive for many years. Gordon is survived by his wife, Marlene; his daughter, Eileen (Ken) Cadeau; granddaughter, Amanda Lillian, Marlene’s daughter, Andrea; and a niece, Joan. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lillian, daughter, Sandra, brother, Gerald, and sister, Muriel. The family wishes to thank Palliative Care 7A VG Site, for all of their care and support. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, NS (477.5601), where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 10 AM from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Gary Barrett presiding. A private family interment will take place at Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax, NS. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Gordon may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Society, or to the Building Fund of Full Gospel Church.
