Obituary of Ruby Naugler

Naugler (Burgess), Ruby Lillian: 79, Halifax, passed away peacefully at Aborstone Enhanced Care on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Born in Upper Burlington, NS, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Alma (Brown) Burgess. Ruby had lived the last 3 years of her life at Arborstone, as she sufferered from dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. She is now with God and is finally at peace from her long time illness. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters Katheryn Blackmore, and Theresa Landry, her 5 grandchildren, Shea Bungay, Cristopher Blackmore, Deborah Paige, Michelle Paige, and Roy Paige, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Ruby was predeceased by her first husband, Gordon Misener, and her second husband, Walter Naugler, as well as four brothers and five sisters. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of 3rd floor, Arborstone for the compassion given to Ruby during her time in their care. Resting at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where visitation will take place on Friday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 2pm from the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Patricia Malin as clergy. Interment will take place at Fairview Lawn Cemetery on Monday at 11 am. In memory of Ruby, donations may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
