Obituary of Marion Betts

BETTS, Alice Marion … 78, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in Glades Lodge. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Alice (Ryall) Hurley. Marion is survived by sons Walter Jr., Armdale; Jimmy, Sackville; Gary (Trudy) Sackville; Mike (Diane), Herring Cove; Barry (Kim), Bedford; daughters Linda (George) Hartling, Spryfield; Irene (Donnie) MacDonald, Sackville; Judy Betts, Armdale; Karen (Gordie) Weeks, Spryfield; 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Michael Hurley, New Waterford C.B.; daughter-in-law Lil, Spryfield; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Glades Lodge for all of the love and compassion given to Marion during her time in their care. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477.5601) where visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30 from 2-4 & 7-9. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 1 at 2 PM from the funeral home chapel. Interment to take place at a later date. Family flowers only.
