Obituary of Beatrice "Beatty" Jennings

Jennings, Beatrice E. “Beatty” (nee Arsenault): 53, Halifax, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 14, 1955 in Spryfield, where she has lived for 33 years, Beatty is a daughter of Ronald Arsenault and the late Doris Arsenault (Hillier). Beatty had been employed for many years at Tim Horton’s, where she was loved by many customers and had lots of regulars. She will be remembered as a very loving, special, respected, and hardworking woman who raised her four children all on her own, often assuming the roles of both mom and dad. Beatty had sense of humour and was a strong person. She was a perfect mother and grandmother. She will be missed by daughters, Brendalee Misener (Wayne) and Rhondalee Jennings (Larry Carignan), sons, Richard Jennings (Crystal) and Brent Oakley and his father, Ron Oakley, her loving partner and soulmate, Roy Hennigar, her father, Ronald Arsenault (Evelyn), grandchildren, Brandon Jennings, Brandi Jennings, Brody Jennings, Kaleigh Jennings, and Brenden Jennings, sisters, Donna Walters (Freeman), Gwen Smith, Dale Cameron (Everett), brother, Ronnie Arsenault (Donna), uncle Bing Crosby, as well as many nieces and nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Doris and aunt, Sharron Hillier. The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses of 8.2, QEII, and Palliative Care for all of the care compassion shown to Beatty. Also, a heartfelt thanks to the Owners, April-Dawn and Mel, and Staff of Tim Hortons. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Patricia Malin officiating.
