Obituary of Roger Boudreau

BOUDREAU, Roger Joseph: 48, Stanley, NS, beloved husband of Lorraine (Shay) Boudreau, passed away suddenly on December 21, 2008 by accident. Born in Halifax, he is the son of Laurentine (Savoie) Boudreau and the late Magella Boudreau. Roger was currently employed with Department of Transportation and Public Works. He was a proud Purcell’s Cover, who loved his family and friends, especially his #1 sidekick, Simba. He will be remembered with his guitar and for his smile. We will miss you deeply and will go on with the strength you have given all of us. Roger is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine (Shay), his two beloved daughters, Karen (Sheldon Poole), Halifax, and Christine (Jon Hilverda), Ottawa, ON, his two grandsons, who were his pride and joy, Braydon Poole and Aydon Hilverda, his mother, Laurentine Boudreau, Halifax, and his beautiful goddaughter, Mackenzie Cormack. He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Paul, Greenwood, NS, Peter (Faye), Hammond, ON, Yvette Kline (Gary), Lance, NS, Georgette Lynch (Harold “Hally” Flemming), Purcell’s Cove, Nicolle Joyce (Michael), Ottawa, ON, Sylvie Murphy (Michael), Purcell’s Cove, Collette Jennissen (Larry), Round Hill, NS, and Michael (Christine), Purcell’s Cove, as well as aunts, uncles, several cousins and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Magella, grandson, Austin, sister, Simone, a sister-in-law, Donalda Waugh, and a brother-in-law, Kirk Graham. Resting at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Spryfield, NS, with Fr. Rob Arsenault as celebrant. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. The family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of NS.
