Obituary of Catherine “Kay” Ferguson
Ferguson, Catherine “Kay”: 64, Spryfield, passed away on December 26, 2008 at her residence. Born in Halifax, she was a loving daughter of the late Gerald and Mabel (Keel) Ferguson. Kay had been employed with HRM for 27 years, where she made many good friends. Kay enjoyed children, especially her nieces and nephews, who meant the world to her. She had been involved with Brownies and Sunday School. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, reading and volunteering. Kay was very close to her family and never forgot an important date. She enjoyed spending summers on the deck at the family cottage. She was always concerned about others and was always more than willing to babysit. Kay loved the freedom of driving her car, but most of all, Kay will be forever remembered for her Famous Sugar Cookies. She will be lovingly remembered as our older sister and never forgotten. Kay is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Cameron (Barry Forbes), Halifax, June Atkinson (Gary), Dartmouth, and Jo-Ann Ferguson, Kentville, a brother, Robert “Bob” Ferguson (Heather), Herring Cove, 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 3 great-nieces, and 1 great-nephew, as well as many precious friends.
Cremation has taken place under the care of J.
