Obituary of Paul Martell
MARTELL, Paul Henry - 52, Spryfield, Halifax. It is with extreme sadness that the family of Paul Martell announces his passing on January 3, 2009 after a short but courageous battle with Cancer. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Henry and Jeanette (LeBlanc) Martell, originally of Cape Breton. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a passionate blues man, and loved playing with “the boys” on stage. He will be loved and cherished always by his wife Barb (Hamblin), daughters Jessica (Ian) Purcell and Amanda, siblings Morris (Karen), Mark (Sharron), Blair (Janice), and Sheila (Gordon) Yule, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an older brother Joseph, who died in infancy. The family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses who helped Paul through his battle. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd.
