Obituary of James White

WHITE, James Leo … 87, Halifax, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009 in Arborstone. Born in Westville, Pictou County, he was a son of the late Alfred and Amanda (Casey) White. James had worked for Simpsons Sears, retiring after 35 years of service. He will be lovingly remembered by daughter, Lynda Campbell; sons, Jimmy; Garfield (Sandy); Ralph and Chris; grandchildren, Jason, Craig, Naomi, Matthew, Tracey, Aaron, Angie and Cindy; brothers, Gordon Peter “Doc”, Paddy, John James “Skinny”; sisters, Nettie, Dorothy and Yvonne. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Slaunwhite); brothers, George, Albert, Bill, Alfred “Potsie”; sister, Florence. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Arborstone Enhanced Care for their excellent care and compassion. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601). By request there will be no visitation or service at this time.
