Obituary of Leo Boutilier

BOUTILIER, Harris “Leo” - 79, died February 16, 2009, in the wonderful care of Scotia Nursing Home, Beaverbank. Leo spent his life passionately loving and playing music, and worked until his retirement at the Halifax Dockyards. He was a son of the late Herbert and Irene (Jollimore) Boutilier. He is survived by his wife, Etta (Nickerson) Boutilier; daughters, Christina (Richard) Livingston, Pamela (Hunter) Hild, Michele (Robert) Muir; son, Glenn (Louise Ashawasegai) Boutilier; “like-a-son”, Darren LaPierre; brother, Frank (Mabel) Boutilier; grandchildren, Noel, Nicole, Allie, Ashleigh, Ian, Grace and Oliver. Leo was predeceased by sister, Elfreda Slaunwhite; brothers, Wilson and Ernest. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield, where cremation has taken place. By request, there will be no visitation or service. Burial to be held at a later date.
