Obituary of Jim Coffey

COFFEY, James Francis Sr. - 71, Halifax, passed away peacefully in the QEII Health Sciences Center on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. He was a son of the late James Albert and Helen (Marryatt) Coffey. Jim will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. His laughter and fun ways will never be forgotten. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Elizabeth “Betty”; his sons, James Jr., Halifax; Brian (Diane), Halifax; Darryl (Florence), Timberlea; Dennis (Nicole), Halifax; Tony (Tausha), Timberlea; grandchildren, Darryl, Nicolle, Christian, Johnathan, Tony, Shaun, Matthew, Rebecca and Ryley; great-grandchildren, Liam and Abigail; brothers, Gary (Juanita), Dartmouth; sisters, Patricia Williams and Donna (Cecil) Poole. He was predeceased by brother, Douglas Coffey; sister, Helen Douglas; brother in-law, Walter Williams. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Friday, March 6 from 2-4 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
