Obituary of James Isnor

ISNOR, James Arthur - 62, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2009, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. He was a son of the late James and Anna (McDonald) Isnor. James was a taxi driver with Casino Taxi for over 36 years. He was well-known, liked, and respected by his colleagues and many customers. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 41 years, Trudy (King); son, William "Billy", both of Halifax; brother, John (Paulette), Lower Sackville; sisters, Katherine Isnor, Halifax; Jeannee (Bob) Barrett, Newfoundland; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, James Charles and brother, Barry "Izzy". Arrangements are under the care and direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A private service of remembrance for family and his friends of Casino Taxi will be held on Monday, March 30, at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dianna Brett-Frye officiating. Donations in James' memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Special Olympics Canada.
