Obituary of Donnie Pottie

POTTIE, Donald Ralph "Donnie" - 58, Spryfield, passed away March 27, 2009. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late George and Edna (Dean) Pottie. Donnie was a dedicated and hard working employee that will be remembered by the jingle of his many keys. A kind and humorous man, Donnie was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Pottie; children, Ann Marie (Keith) Ritchot, Jennifer (Clint) Pickett, all of Halifax; grandchildren, Jacob, Jennah, Joseph, Emily, Alex, Greg "Gomer", Logan, and many nephews and nieces; siblings, Sandra (Joan) Deveaux, Toronto; Diane (Eugene) Dye, of Cape Breton; Priscilla Pottie, Cape Breton; Dougie (Kay) Pottie, Halifax. He was predeceased by twin brother, George. Family request private visitation at the J.A. Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road. Followed by a memorial service to be held on Wednesday, April 1, at 2 p.m. from the J.A. Walker Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Donnie may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
