Obituary of Christopher Coady

COADY, Christopher John - 13, Halifax, surrounded by his loving parents, Dana and Timmy gently passed away on the morning of April 1, 2009, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Christopher was a bright, fun loving young man who lit up a room with his smile and witty sense of humor. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his charming nature and his acceptance of everyone who called him friend. He was the Montreal Canadians number one fan who loved watching basketball and hockey games with his Mom and Dad and running and playing with his friends. These are the precious memories and gifts he has left us. Christopher is survived by his parents, Dana and Timmy Coady; grandparents, Joan and Gerald Coady; aunts and uncles, Sharon Grant (Peter), Kim Kilburn, Tom Kilburn, Kevin Coady (Debra), Susan Coady (Peter), Rosemarie Coady (Robert); cousins, Julie Warren (Jeff), Tom Mombourquette, Craig and Dale Kilburn, Mark and Nick Coady, Jenna and Cory Ward. He was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Lorenzo and Katherine Keeping and Jack and Gertie Coady, and his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Kilburn. Many thanks to the staff of 6 Link, IWK Children’s Hospital for their help and kindness to Christopher and his family. Christopher is now an angel in heaven looking over us with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. His spirit will live on in all of us who knew him and admired him for his brave heart and courage. He is the stars in the heavens, the rays of sunshine on bright sunny days and gentle raindrops falling from the sky. Christopher will be missed by all who knew him.
