Obituary of Audrey Powell

POWELL, Audrey Doreen — Halifax, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009, at the age of 77. She was the daughter of the late Eva Pellow. Doreen was a member of the Purcell's Cove Social Club and was an avid dart and bingo player. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Dorilda (Brent Fraser), Harrietsfield; June (Robert Mazerolle), Halifax; Charmaine (Ron Ratto), Sackville; sons, Kevin (Tanya Keating), White's Lake; Sidney Powell, Sambro; grandchildren, Corrie, Steven, Scott, Michael, Matthew, Laura, Mark, Michael and Rylee; great-grandchildren Dylan, Austin and Anika; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Lloyd Pellow. Arrangements are under the care and direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (477-5601), where visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10 from 7-9 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, June 11 at 11 a.m. in St. Phillip's Anglican Church. A reception will follow at the Purcell's Cove Social Club, 145 Purcell's Cove Rd. Interment to take place at a later date. Donations in Audrey's memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
