Obituary of Alice Kai

KAI, Alice Frances - 85, Beaverbank, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Born in St. John's, NF, she was a daughter of the late John and May (Seaward) March. She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by sons, Bill (Susan) Kai, Ancaster, ON; Charles Kai, Dartmouth; daughters, Lillian Kai, Dartmouth; Linda Kai, Halifax; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; several siblings. She was predeceased by her husband Jim Kai and daughter Anna Kai. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Ivy Meadows Nursing Home for their care and support given to Alice during her time with them. Arrangements are under the care and direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (477-5601). By request, there will be no visitation. A private service of remembrance for family and residents will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 2 p.m. in Ivy Meadows Nursing Home, Beaverbank. Interment to follow in Fairview Lawn Cemetery. Donations in Alice's memory may be made to the Dartmouth Stroke Support Club.
