Obituary of Corrine Joudry

JOUDRY, Corrine S. — 75, of Halifax, passed away July 4, 2009, in the VG Site, QEII, following an 18 year battle with cancer. Born in Halifax , she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Christina Purcell of Spryfield. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Guy N. Joudry, of Halifax and son, David C. Joudry; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, David Purcell, Spryfield. Corrine enjoyed reading, country music, dancing, her friends and activities at the Resolute Club. Arrangements entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. The family has requested no visitation, with a memorial service in Emmanuel Anglican Church, 322 Herring Cove Rd., on Wednesday July 8 at 1 p.m.. Family interment in Emmanuel Anglican Church Cemetery, followed by a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Society or Emmanuel Church Cemetery Fund (c/o Connie Backman, 149 Glenwood Dr., Head of St. Margaret's Bay, NS B3Z 2E7).
