Obituary of Theresa Morris

MORRIS, Theresa Agnes — Halifax. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother in the QEII Health Sciences Centre on July 5, 2009, after a short illness. She was born in Halifax to Patrick and Lila (Nickerson) Sherlock on April 5, 1918. She lived in Northwood Towers for 20 years and recently lived in Spryfield. She enjoyed playing darts and bingo. Surviving are her daughter, Beverly "Bev" Bobbitt (Terry); sons, John (Brenda), Portuguese Cove; Wayne (Karen), Timberlea; Glenn, Ontario; and Brian (Gail), Herring Cove; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John T. Morris Sr.; daughter, Joan Therien; a son in infancy; brothers, John, Gerald, and Fred; sisters, Margaret Campbell, Gladys Laushiwey, Florence Richardson, Vera Collins, and Lillian Keller. Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Halifax, NS (477.5601), where a memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 9, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Herring Cove. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate remembrances in memory of Theresa to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
