Obituary of Matthew Power
Matthew James Power, born October 3, 1979 died at home on July 12, 2009.Our dear son loved the forest and the ocean. Many of his happiest days were spent camping and hiking on McNab's Island with friends and family. He was a good boy who was thoughtful and kind in his own quiet way. He would give his mom, dad and sister, Heather his last cent and defend us fearlessly. His sorrow overwhelmed him on Sunday and even though he knew we loved him more than life, it was not enough. He is with his papa, Henry Power and granddad, Alexander Ewert, now and he will never hurt again. Now it is our turn. The days and years will feel like an eternity until we can hold him again and tell him how much we love and miss him. Matthew is survived by his devoted mother, Nancy his loving sister, Heather and her husband, Aaron Kinch and his proud father, Pat. His granny, Genevieve Power and grandma, Jennetta Ewert, who should never have had to bear such pain at this stage of life but they will endure, as usual. Matt will always be remembered by his many aunts uncles and cousins, Chris, Trisha, Madison Power, Matthew Power, Maurice, Cydney, Jessica (Jacob), Samantha Power, Elizabeth, Jim, Aurora Camano, Bernadette, Roy, Stephen, Ashley and Jillian Smith, Anne Power & Tony Purcell & Christina Purcell, Vincent Power. Matt was so proud to be "Uncle Matt" to Liam and Daniel Kinch. Matthew will also be sadly missed by his many friends, too numerous to be name. Arrangements are under the care of J. A.
