Obituary of Gloria Slauenwhite

Gloria Mae Slauenwhite - 82, went to be with her Lord peacefully at home at Stillwater Lake, NS, on July 18. 2009. Born in Middlewood, NS, she was the daughter of Oran and Ellen Rafuse (Slauenwhite). Gloria is survived by sons, Boyd (Barbara), Halifax, Barry (Sharon), London, Ont., Stan Jr. (Debbie), Halifax, Mark (Brenda), Aylmer, Ont. daughter-in-law, Elva Slauenwhite (Halifax), and brother, Selvin (Sudbury, Ont). She will be remembered lovingly by 14 grandchildren: Karen, Andrew, Stephen, Sandra, Adam, Paul, Lisa, Krista, Heather, Shaun, Jeffrey, Krystyn, Andrew and Jessica, as well as 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Stanford Leroy (2008), sons, Richard Earl (1949) and Keith Leroy (1992), granddaughter, Dawn Angela (1983), brother, Lester (Middlewood) and sister, Annie (Middlewood). Gloria lived her life as a demonstration of her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her loving husband and her family. She enjoyed doing crafts and tole painting, and kept in touch with her friends around the world on her computer. She possessed an infectious laugh that made her a joy to be around. She loved nature, and spending time outside, especially sitting around a campfire with friends and family. Gloria was a well-respected member of Faith Tabernacle Church. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (902-477-5601) on Tuesday, July 21at 7 … 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 22 at Faith Tabernacle Church, 6225 Windsor St at Summit, Halifax at 10:00am.with Rev.
