Obituary of Anita Daurie

Daurie, Agnes “Anita”: 82, Halifax, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late William and Rachael (Leahy) Gage. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Earl), Gale (Ronald), Joan (Tim), Rose, Barbara (Darrell), Sheila (John), and Janet (Joe); sons, Lester (Donna), Carl (Sandra), and Alan (Ruby); her sisters, Theresa, Violet, and Marie; brothers, Edward, Albert and Michael; 20 grandchildren; as well as 20 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lester Daurie, a daughter, Anita, sons, David and Bruce, and a sister, Mae. Cremation has taken place under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 10 AM from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, NS, with Fr. Rob Arsenault as celebrant. Family burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
