Obituary of Mary Pettipas

PETTIPAS, Mary "Evelyn" — 84, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 10, 2009, in Parkstone Enhanced Nursing Home with her family by her side. Evelyn was born in Terence Bay and lived there most of her life. She was the daughter of John "Pop" and Barbara (Howard) Pettipas. She is survived by her son, Ron Pettipas (Donna), Goodwood; daughters, Bernadine (Raymond) Hopkinson, Hatchett Lake; Carolyn (Ron) Jollimore, Terence Bay; grandchildren, Erin Pettipas, John and Jason Jollimore, Brittany Hopkinson; great-grandchildren, Rydell and Raidyn, many nieces and nephews. Evelyn would want to acknowledge her special niece, Marlene Greenough, who was so very good to her. Evelyn was predeceased by sister, Nora Slaunwhite; brothers, Norman, Ned, Cyril, Robbie Pettipas. Also special thank you to the staff of Point Pleasant Way, Parkstone Nursing Home. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (477-5601) where cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady Star of the Sea. Burial to take place in church cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
