Obituary of Marilyn Moore
Moore, Marilyn Phyllis: 63, Hammonds Plains, loving wife of William Moore, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2009 at the QEII, VG Site, Halifax, NS. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Jessie (Ross) Drysdale. Throughout her career, Marilyn was a teacher, from which she proudly retired. For over 30 years, Marilyn dedicated her time to the Boy Scouts. She was active with the Mainland South Heritage Society where she helped as a genealogist at the Captain William Spry Centre. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, William, her treasured son, Mark (Jania), Toronto, ON, her cherished granddaughter, Ruby, nephew, David, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and brother, David Drysdale.
Resting at JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS, where visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 10 AM from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kevin Little as officiating clergy. Interment will take place in St. John’s Cemetery.
