Obituary of Linda Sutherland

SUTHERLAND, Linda Christina (Oliver) - 61, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2009 in the VG site, QEII, after a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late Vernon and Elizabeth Oliver. She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by husband, Hugh Sutherland, Halifax; sons, Montwaine "Monty", Ottawa; Jermaine (Courtney), Halifax; James, at home; stepchildren, David and Racheal Synder, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Darnel, Devon, Darrian and Akaysia; great-granddaughter, Aailyah; sisters, Lois (Angus) Lethbridge, Spryfield; Charlene (Jim) McNeil, Halifax; brothers, Vernon (Cola), Stephen, Darrell and Shawn, all of Toronto, Kevin (Darcell), Ottawa; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters, Margo and Katherine; sisters, Margo and Tyra; brothers, Roger and Brian. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Friday, November 6 from 1-2 PM with a service of remembrance to follow at 2 PM from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Elaine Walcott officiating. Interment to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. A reception will be held following the burial at the Spryfield Legion. Donations in memory of Linda may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
