Obituary of Margaret Holman

Holman, Margaret Barbara - 71, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2009, in Melville Lodge Nursing Home. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Blanche (Bellefontaine) Griffiths. Margaret loved her family dearly and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Perry Griffiths (Brenda), Cory Holman (Shauna), both of Halifax; and Mark Griffiths, Ontario; her daughters, Kim Feltmate (Jason), Dartmouth, and Kelly Holman, Halifax; her brother, Peter Griffiths (Patsy); sisters, Elsie Griffiths, Halifax; Sandra Griffiths, Cheticamp, Cape Breton; Marie Justason, Gays River; and Liz McCarthy, Yukon; as well as her treasured grandchildren, Sherlyn and Kayla Griffiths, Chad and Gracie Holman, Matthew, Mitchell, and Ethan Griffiths, and Josh and Lucas Feltmate, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Garnet Headley Holman; brothers, Johnny, Ronnie, Freddy, and Harold "Dick", and sisters, Connie, Cecelia, and Helen "Dolly". Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Halifax (477-5601), where visitation will be held today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel, Rev.
