Obituary of Barb Sobkowich

SOBKOWICH (Morash), Barbara — 54, Timberlea. It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Barb on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Born on October 21, 1955, she was the daughter of the late George and Barbara (Skerry) Morash. She is survived by her son, Joseph (Carolyn) Sobkowich, Dartmouth; brothers, Jack (Jocelyn) Morash, Timberlea; Mike (Jackie) Morash, Windsor; Frank (Maria) Morash, Timberlea; Ken Morash, Dartmouth; sister, Mary (Tom) Morash, Moncton; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. A special thank you to Frank and Chris Skerry for their kindness, generosity and devotion to Barb in her final months. She was predeceased by her husband, Steve Sobkowich and sister, Kathy Morash. To live in the hearts of others means to never die. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 28, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barb's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
