Obituary of Marion Lewin

LEWIN, Marion Annie — 78, of Halifax, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 27, 2009. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Pearl (Tucker) Matheson. Marion dedicated her life to her family and she treasured them dearly. She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Russell) Saunders, Halifax, and Brenda LeBlanc, Oak Bay, N.B.; granddaughter, Jenna LeBlanc, Oak Bay, N.B., as well as a sister, June Isnor, Halifax. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Cecil in June 2009; her brother, Lloyd "Buddy"; son-in-law, Patrick LeBlanc. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Melville Lodge Nursing Home for all of the care and compassion given to Marion, especially to Joyce Topple, who was like a chosen daughter to our mother. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. (477-5601). By request there will be no public visitation. A private burial will take place in the spring with her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
