Obituary of Lloyd Tucker
TUCKER, Lloyd Gordon 81, Halifax, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2010, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Edward and Beatrice (Kinslow) Tucker. Lloyd was the Horseshoe Champion from 1959-1961, something that he was very proud of. In his spare time he enjoyed hockey and camping, He worked with MT&T for 30 years, until his retirement. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Lois (Rodd), Halifax; sister, Mary McCready, and nephew Arthur McCready, Sydney. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Halifax (477-5601) where visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, from 2-4 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, February 5, at 2 p.m in Emmanuel Anglican Church with Rev. Dianna Brett-Frye officiating. Burial to take place at a later date. Special thanks to the QEII staff of 8.3 for their care and compassion given. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
