Obituary of Gerald Briand

Briand, Gerald Thomas, 79, of Halifax, passed away on March 11, 2010 in the VG QEII Infirmary. Born November 8, 1930, he was the son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Vail) Briand. Gerald attended College Street School, Saint Pat’s High School, Saint Mary’s College. He retired from the Canadian National Telegraphs and became a Commerical Fisherman. Gerald was predeceased by his wife Vivian (Steeves). Gerald is survived by brother, William (Helen) Briand, sister Marie (Fred) Leafloor, brother Robert (Donna), his nieces and nephews, Bruce Briand, Denise McCarthy, Fred Leafloor, Lee Leafloor, Nicole Briand and Beth Briand. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J.Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd,149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield. There will be a private family burial.
