Obituary of Wallace Jollimore

JOLLIMORE, J. Wallace … 92, Terence Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 15, 2010 in Melville Gardens. Born in Halifax on March 31, 1917, he was a son of the late Frederick and Bertha (Howard) Jollimore. Wally worked all of his life in the fishing industry, working for National Sea Products for well over 30 years until his retirement. He is survived by sons, Alfred (Shelly) and Roy (Minnetta); daughters, Sheila, Vivian and Elaine (Mike); many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by wife, Jane, whom he was married to for over 69 years; sons, Raymond and Gerald; brothers, Willy and Ronald. Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. (477-5601) where visitation will be held on Thursday, March 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, March 19 at 10 AM from the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in Our Lady Star of the Sea Cemetery, Terence Bay. Donations in Wally’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Lung Association.
