Obituary of Phyllis Linder

Linder, Major Phyllis Marie(Nee Campbell): 78, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 15, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Gordonsville, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Harry and Viola(Carle) Campbell. Major Phyllis had devoted 54 years of her life to the Salvation Army as an officer. In 2004 she was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Major Wilmot Linder. During their 47 years together they devoted their lives to God's service. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her daughters, Kathy Haggett(Wayne), Halifax, and Karla Rhodenizer (Kevin), Bridgewater, her grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Sarah, Jonathan, Kayla, and Kyle, her two sisters, Alma and Juanita, and her cousin Karlene. A memorial service will be held in honour of Major Phyllis on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 3p.m. in the funeral home chapel of JA Walker Funeral Home(2005)Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, N.S.(477-5601), with Barry Banks as officiant. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to The Shriners Hospital for Sick Children, c/o Philae Shriners, P.O.
