Obituary of Nicholas Lundrigan

82, Halifax, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family March 16,2010, in the Halifax Infirmary QEII. Born in Burin, NL., he was a son of the late Thomas and Sarah (Osborne) Lundrigan. Nicholas was retired from Olands Brewery after 39 years of service. He is survived by loving wife, Georgina (Stubbert); sons, Ronald (Karen), Allan (Marilyn), both of Halifax; Glenn (Stephanie), British Columbia; daughters, Debra (Keith), Cindy (Bob), Tena (Larrie), all of Halifax; brother, Alphonse, Mulgrave; sisters, Alice, Nellie, both of Newfoundland; grandchildren, Sandra, Vanessa, Kaitlan, Erin, Amanda, Nicholas Jr., Adam, Luke; several nieces and nephews. Nicholas was predeceased by brothers, Ben, Jim, and Edward in infancy; sister, Winnie. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. (477-5601). A memorial mass will take place Saturday 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Father Rob Arsenault officiating. Interment to take place in Newfoundland at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. The family would like to send a special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers of the 4th and 8th floors of the Halifax Infirmary QEII, to his personal caregiver, Debra McKenna, and care co-ordinator Marg Hinam for all the caring that they had given Nicholas.
