Obituary of Vallerie Mitchell

50-Bayside passed away suddenly on March 18,2010 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born in Fredericton, NB she is a daughter of Hubert “Nick” (Carol Fader) and the late Sylvia (Wile) Ryan. She had worked as a cook and waitress at the Rusty Anchor, and with her family at Bayside Marine. Vallerie is survived by loving husband John: son Andrew; daughter Melissa MacRae (Bradley) both of Bayside; brother Patrick (Cindy): Debert; sisters Nancy Ryan; Maria Ead (Dee Jay) both of Halifax: granddaughters Jasmine, Madison, Lily, Calle; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday 11-1 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. all in the J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. Halifax (477-5601). Cremation will follow service with interment to take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who visited and supported Vallerie at the benefit in her name that was held on March 5,2010 at the White’s Lake Legion.
