Ron attended Sydney Academy High School, University of King’s College and received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2001 from Dalhousie University. A skilled and dedicated nurse, Ron was part of the nursing staff of the CDHA QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. He had a passion for helping & teaching others and felt privileged to nurse. Baptized in the Anglican Communion, Ron had a deep love of God and His Creation. Ron’s many interests included hiking and the outdoors: he was a knowledgeable amateur geologist with a cherished collection and he also loved astronomy, this last interest helped by being born on the night of the first lunar landing. He was a dedicated D&D gamer & great DM, who was grounded in the real world as a proud member of the Gelatinous Dudes, at whose games he contributed to the weekly collection for Phoenix House and with them, held a successful first annual fundraising draw for Adsum House in December 2009.
