Obituary of Florence Crocker

79, Hacketts Cove, passed away April 23, 2010, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Glen Haven, she was a daughter of the late Seymour and Etta (Hubley) Boutilier. She worked at Sears for many years, was a member of the Dianna Bleakney Guild and worked as a volunteer at the Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation of Nova Scotia at the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Florence is survived by sons, Ronald (Robert), Halifax; Ted (Wendy), Hacketts Cove; daughter, Peggy Smeltzer (Robert), Lawrencetown; brother, Donald (Ida), Hammonds Plains; sister, Daisy Veinot (Harold), Hammonds Plains; granddaughters, Tammy, Michelle, Jennifer, Lisa, Sarah, Laura; adopted grandson, Shane; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Russell; son, Earl; sisters, Jessie and Eva Fralick. Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., Halifax. Memorial service will be held in William Black Memorial United Church, Glen Margaret, on Thursday at 2 p.m. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to William Black Memorial United Church Fund or a charity of choice.
