Obituary of Linda Rose

Rose, Linda (Lilly): 60, Halifax, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2010 in the QEII Health Science Centre, with her family by her side. Born in Pushthrough, Hermitage Bay, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late William and Marion (Roberts) Lilly. She worked at Melville Lodge in the activity and dietary aide department from 1992 until 2007. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, tole painting as well as taking long drives in the country with Dad. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren of whom she spoke often. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by her loving husband, Roland, daughter Marsha (Richard), Halifax; son Jonathan (Shelley), Halifax; sister, Joan (Phil Blagdon) Mose Ambrose, NL, granddaughter Sarah, grandsons, Brady and Luke; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by sisters, Mildred, Ida and Emma, and brother, Bert. Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A Walker Funeral Home (2005) 149 Herring Cove Rd. (477-5601). In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11 am in Emmanuel Anglican Church, with Rev. Dianna Brett-Frye officiating. Internment will follow at Emmanuel Church Cemetery Sussex St, with a reception to be held in the church hall.
