Obituary of Jean Crozsman
CROZSMAN, Jean Doris – Halifax, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 11, 2010 in Bridgewater. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Marcella (Meagher) Appleby.
Jean worked in the Department of Physiology and BioPhysics at Dalhousie University for 27 years as a Lab Technician until her retirement. Many summers were spent at the family cottage in East Covey Lake. She was an avid gardener who spent countless hours tending her flowers and gardens. She loved lots of good conversation and enjoyed crossword puzzles and knitting, making many hats, scarves and mittens for the under privileged. Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by her husband, Cliff of 62 years; sons, Randy (Brenda), New Minas; Mark (Flora), Halifax; daughters, Debbie (Maurice) Digdon, Hammonds Plains; Brenda (Angus) Macpherson, Halifax; “her five grandchildren”, Michael, Amy, Melissa, Brett and Beth and 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Yates and Linda (Bernie) Beaver. She was predeceased by, sisters, Barbara Allen and Joyce Hamlin.
Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601). In keeping with Jean’s wishes there will be no visitation. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, July 14 at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Ellen Wilson officiating, with a reception to follow. Family flowers only, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
