Obituary of Lillian Myles
Myles, Lillian Mary: 84, Halifax, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the New Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, NS, with family by her side. Born in Harbour Mill, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late George and Hattie (Barnes) Noseworthy. Lillian was an avid member of Emmanuel Anglican Church, where she served on the Ladies Auxiliary. Lillian loved to play cards and was known for her knitting, especially mittens and sweaters. She loved to listen to Newfoundland music. She will be fondly remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be sadly missed by her loving family. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Baker (Catherine), New Ross, Albert Baker (Mary), Timberlea, Frank Baker (Donna), Halifax, and John Baker (Elaine), Halifax, her daughter, Emma McNeil (Gerald), Lower L’Ardoise, NS, a step-daughter, Louise Hilson (Shane), Calgary, 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. Lillian was predeceased by her husbands, Frank Baker and Herbert Myles, her daughter, Daisy Hineson (Walter), and an infant sister, Mildred.
Arrangements are under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 2 PM from Emmanuel Anglican Church, Herring Cove Road, Halifax, with Rev. Dianna Brett-Frye as clergy. Interment will be held in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville, NS. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society.
