Obituary of Gerald "Sully" Sullivan

SULLIVAN, Gerald Douglas “Sully” … 78, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2010 surrounded by his family. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late James and Margaret Sullivan. Sully worked at Shearwater for 35 years as a Store Clerk. He was an avid blood donor, with over 120 donations. He will be lovingly remembered by son, Gerald Jr.; daughter, Margie; granddaughter, Jean; great grandson, Brett; sister, Alice Mercer; former wife, Rose Ann (Harnish). He was predeceased by sister, Marion. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Glades Lodge, Melville Lodge and VG Palliative Care 7A, for their compassionate care and support. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601). In keeping with Sully’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, July 21 at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel, with a reception to follow.
