Obituary of Catherine Marion Creelman

89- Halifax, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on July 24,2010 in the Christina and Headley G. Ivany Place. Born in Halifax she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Power) Mayo. Catherine was a member of St. Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church and had strong faith in her religion. She loved crocheting, listening to country music and spending time with her family, which meant the most to her. She was never to busy to be there for her family and friends. Catherine will be sadly missed by sons; Arthur (Diane), Halifax, Gary (Barbara), Paul (Shelly Sampson) both of Lantz, Terry (Phyllis), Brookside, Larry, Terence Bay; daughters; Pauline Morris, Nancy Ellis (Ivan Rubia) both of Halifax, Doreen Hudder (Denis Godbout), Goodwood, Sandra Brousseau (Harvey MacAusland), Hammonds Plains, Carol Countway (Darrell), Donna Morash (Lester) both of West Dover, Janet Henry (Tom Coffin), Sackville; brother Sedley Mayo, Halifax; sister; Gwennie Rhynold, Halifax; 125 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Ralph; brothers; Lester, Paul; sisters; Beatrice, Mildred, Margaret, Alice, Edwina; grandson Larry; son-in-laws; Ronald Brousseau, Bill Henry, Barry Sweeney,Arthur Morris; daughter-in-law Joyce. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. (477-5601) where visitation will be held Tuesday 2-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Spryfield, with reception to follow service in the church hall. Interment to take place in the Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, Lwr. Sackville. Donations in memory may be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation.
