Obituary of Frederick Schnare
SCHNARE, Frederick Arthur … 45, Middle Village, West Dover, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, August 5, 2010, surrounded by his family. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Owen and Theresa (Kaloc) Schnare.
Freddie loved the outdoors, in particular, fishing and driving his ATV on local trails. He also enjoyed working on cars and doing mechanical work for his friends and neighbors. Most of all Freddie loved just being with his soul mate Pam.
He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by his wife and best friend, the love of his life and lifelong partner, Pam Launt. He is also survived by brothers, Jerry (Joanne Glover), Prospect; Eddie (Marg), Dartmouth; Robert, Halifax; sisters, Carolyn Plouffe (John), Saint Jerome, QC and Cindy (Blaine Izzard), Dartmouth; numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. In keeping with Freddie’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A service of remembrance will be held at a later date. Donations in Freddie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Harris Crooks of Hatchett Lake and all the doctors, nurses and health care professionals on 5A, 6A and 6B of the VG Site, QEII, for their care and compassion over the past few weeks. Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered.
