Obituary of Joan Carol Stevenson

Halifax, passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on June 13, 2018 at the VG Site, QEII. Raised in Canso, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Madonna Lukeman. 

She is survived by her partner, Eric Cormier and family; daughter, Cheryl (Peter) and her children, David, Tamara and Billy; son, Gordon (Brenda) and their children, Brooke and Brea; sisters, Marion (Keith) Froats, Janice (Helmuth) Koerner, Jean (Kelvin) Pettis and Sheila (Ivan) Graham; and several nieces and nephews whom she adored. 

Joan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She was a loving, caring person who brought a lot of joy to those around her. We will miss her. 

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where visitation will be held on Monday, June 18 from 2-4 PM. Prayers and words of remembrance will be shared at 3 PM. In keeping with Joan’s wishes there will be no service.
