I want to express how sorry Iam for the familys loss. There are some very
comforting words found in Gods Word, the Bible, at Acts the 17th. chapter,
verses 24 & 25 where God is called "the source of life"......the One who
gave life to all living creatures is certainly capable of restoring life to our
loved ones who have died. Another comforting scripture is found in the Bible
book of Job, the 14th. chapter, verses 14 & 15. It speaks about how God
longs to bring back those who are in His memory & see them live on earth
again. I hope this brings the family comfort. My sincere condolence to you &

It is with shock and much sadness that my husband and I learned of Ada's passing tonight when we were at the Newfoundland Club. We had met Ada and Bud there a couple of years ago when we were sitting together at the same table. Ada was a lovely person, and we always made sure when we saw them there that we would go over and share a hug and say hello. We are so very sorry for your loss. Our hearts go out to her husband and all of her family who will miss her so much. Most sincere condolences. May she rest in peace.

My memories of Nanny will live in my heart forever . We often went to wrestling, hockey , can't forget the cake walks she took us too as Kids our many trips to the Island to visit aunt Melinda . To the Family: I am deeply saddened to hear of Ada's passing.I have known Ada since meeting her daughter Melinda 65 years ago at the Ecum Secum Elementary School. Melinda became my beautiful best friend until her passing. Ada was always so happy to see me at the NFLD club and we always chatted. She loved the music and dancing. She was full of life and always looked so much younger than her age. She will now rest peacefully with Melinda. RIP Ada.l

We always enjoyed seeing Ada and Bud at the Newfie Club dances. They were such a sweet couple, and Ada would happily share her age and her exercise routine with us. A true Newfoundlander, she always had a ready smile and a twinkle in her eye. We will miss her. Our condolences to her family.

Dear Don, Sheila and Family
Bob and I were so sad to hear of your lovely Mom's passing. We will always have a special place in our hearts for her. As you both know she is the reason we have found one another. Our search for my amazing brother Don was in her hands on that day in April 2013. Among the very few clues I had found in my search for you Don, was a Halifax phone number, which fortunately for us turned, out to be Ada and Bud's.
On that morning, when I finally got up the courage to make that call, Ada's friendly and cheerful voice answered the phone. Nervously we asked if she knew Don Turner. We explained our situation and we will never forget the wonderful and delightful reply. Yes dear, I know Don, but you know,he doesn't live here, he lives in Clayton Park with my daughter Sheila. This is his number, give him a call, I'm pretty sure he is home right now. We were so excited and called Don, the rest, is, as they say history. We will never forget her genuine kindness to two nervous strangers and she will forever be remembered by us both for being instrumental in our finding you both.
The love and support of your dear Mother can never be replaced, but we hope you find strength in the love of family and the warm embrace of your friends.

I was heartbroken to hear of the passing of Ada. I vividly remember my last interaction with her; I told her she was my inspiration for how I hoped to age. Her advice was to continue dancing. Ever full of life, she will be greatly missed. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her.

Life will not be the same without you! You were the heart and sole of this family and not sure who is going to step up to keep everyone together.
