Obituary of Ada Stoodley

 Age ­­­­­87 of Halifax passed away August 14, 2018 at the Halifax Infirmary.  Born in Boxey Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie Pittman.   As a young woman Ada had worked for Sears for many years and met many of people.  Ada was always seen walking up and down the sidewalks of Spryfield and she was also known for doing her exercises to keep healthy but she especially loved push ups.  She loved dancing and was a member of the Newfoundland club.  Ada is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, William “Bud” Stoodley; sons Wally, Claude (Shirley), Junior (Ruth) and Darren; daughters Christine (Bob) and Shelia (Don); 16 Grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.  She was predeceased by her daughter Melinda Stoodley and sister Melinda Pittman. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd 149 Herring Cove Road. In keeping with Adas wishes visitation will take place Monday August 20, 2018 from 6-8p.m.  A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday August 21, 2018 at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel.  In memory of Ada, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
