My husband Mark, daughter Amanda and I are just heart broken to hear of Dave’s passing. He will be truly missed in our household. We were blessed to share Thanksgiving last year in our home with Dave and Fernand. It was a wonderful time. Dave was a wonderful conversionalist and I enjoyed talking to him. Loved his personality and his humor. I will always remember fondly the Christmas cookies he made with such care and detail. It was great not only to eat them but to hear the process of how they were made. We were blessed to call you our friend and we will miss you dearly. Rest easy Dave.

I am going to miss Dave; we had such great times on the beach, Thanksgiving shared, and wonderful laughter. What a delightful man and friend.

Dave was a great friend to me. I met him in North Miami Beach and the following year I met Fernand. I traveled to Halifax to spend Thanksgiving one year and the next year they spent in FL with my family. He was so big in my heart that will forever live for me. His tongue-in-cheek wit will be missed. My brother RIP. Will always look up to you and FOR you!

So sad to read in the Ottawa Citizen of Davids passing. I grew up with the Whitman
Family in Riverview N.B. His brother "Rick"and I shared the same classroom for
pretty much all 12 years and my sister Tricia with Davids class. David was a
lovely, very memorable boy as were all the Whitman children. Lots of fond
remembrances of racing around the school ground together, playing in Patricia park.
Our younger sister Joanne died a few years ago and I understand the pain of losing
a sibling. Also the deep connection felt by those of us who were children together
in that place called Riverview as it was in the 50's and 60s. My sincerest
condolences .

Dave était un homme ouvert d'esprit avec un sens de l'humour incroyable. Il a intégré la famille Bergeron et nous l'aimions beaucoup. Il était d'une grande gentillesse avec tout le monde.Repose en paix et nos sympathies vont à sa famille et à notre cher oncle Fernand.
