I was so saddened to hear about Aunt Bernie passing. I hadn't seen her since 2008 but she made a big impression on me and my daughters while we lived in Herring Cove. She was a bright light. A blessing to everyone who knew her. I regret not being there to say good bye with her family and friends. Please know that Paula, Meaghan and Erin send loving thoughts and know also that our fond memories of Bernie will not soon fade. She made us feel like family and for that, we are forever grateful. She's in Heaven now, having a garden party for all the ladies. Our thoughts also go to Cyril as he navigates his life until he is back in her loving arms.
God bless,
Paula Colicchio

Our sincere condolences to Sherry and Cyril and the rest of Bernie's family. Bernie was a wonderful lady who was much loved and respected in Herring Cove and known for her kindness and tireless energy and charitable work. She made every dance at St. Paul's extra fun by making everyone feel so welcome and keeping everything so well organized and running smoothly. She will be greatly missed.

Long may her memory live in the lives of those who encountered her kindness. What a wonderful legacy. May she rest in peace and may God bring comfort to her family.

Condolences to Bernie's family. I worked with Bernie for many years at the PUB on Garrison Place and then on Lower Water Street. She was one of a kind. We had so many good times knitting in the lunchroom or just going out for lunch at Mother Tuckers for roast beef. Bernie was like a mother to all her co-workers. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to meet her. RiP Bernie
