So very sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Dad... Having been neighbors to your grandparents and your parents I have known your Dad for a very long time. What impressed me most about him was his very kind, caring, pleasant and humble ways. What a lovely man and example to so many! In very recent years I had the opportunity to see Lionel in Ketch Hbr, as I borrowed my friends little ones for walks. As we walked down West Side Rd we would stop and chat with Lionel. He always had a smile and kind words, and ended with “please drop in again”. Your dad was a true gentleman and he will be missed! It was with mixed sadness and happiness I drove by his beautiful spot on Ketch Hbr yesterday. I offered up a prayer of thanksgiving for having known him, as well as a prayer for you all! Every time I drive down the Harbour I will be reminded of dear Lionel. May he Rest In Peace.
