My heart goes out to all who love and respect Eric. The world was clearly a better place with him in it. A gentle, loving and all around great guy is how I'll remember him. To see how hard he worked for every occasion he laid his hand to leaves an example for us all. I'll never forget how he amazing and supportive he was when we lost Kyle, and hard he worked to make Brad and Hannah's special day even more special. I can picture his reunion with Kyle with big hugs and smiles. Love to you all.

Christine, Cecil and family,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences on your loss. Eric (and Cemanco Properties) was always there for our Condo residents of the Souriquois in Dartmouth. His caring nature and sincere attitude were evident whenever work issues arose. But Eric was much more than a business acquaintance. He quickly became a good friend with whom our Board of Directors shared many discussions around the Boardroom table. We will all miss him, his smiles, and his laughter.
With deepest sympathy, ... Joanne and Greg Baker

Cecil, Doreen, Brian, Suzanne - I am so sorry for your loss, and for the sadness brought by the void that has been left in your family. Hold close to your heart the many treasured memories and may they help to sustain you on the difficult day. Remember also the times that made you smile, knowing Eric, there would have been lots and he would want you to share those smiles. We had some good laughs together(although probably frustrating for the parents) during our babysitting days at The Caines household.
Christine & Brad, although I do not know you, our daughter went to school with Kyle, Please know my thoughts are with you as you navigate through the sadness & emptiness of the days ahead. I hope you can take comfort in knowing Eric & Kyle will be together watching hockey once again.
Take Care

Goodbye Shrek !!!
I will miss him. I only got to know him a bit through our work together at Long Lake Park and by being neighbours at the office building. I quickly got to know that Eric had a gigantic sized heart and that he would do anything for his beloved Spryfield area community. I took to calling him Shrek because of his grumpy demeanor [at times], to generally get under his skin and to because I actually thought that there was somewhat of a resemblance. He reciprocated by calling me Donkey every opportunity that he could, saying that I was closer to Donkey than he was to Shrek.
I did not get a proper chance to say goodbye. So Shrek, Donkey says "Goodbye" and is going to miss you a lot. Hope to see you down the road in Far Far Away Land.
My sympathies to the family.

Dear Doreen, Cecil and family,
Lorraine and I are so saddened to learn of Eric’s passing. I met Eric on several occasions, those being at his annual Christmas parties for his family, friends, clients, and “ friends of friends”. And at these functions, his traits of kindness and taking care of others was so evident as your beautiful obituary portrays. For parents to lose a child is heartbreaking. We cannot begin to understand your grief. But please know you are in our prayers and thoughts. And be comforted in knowing how many lives Eric touched in such a positive and giving manner.

Dear Uncle Bub's, Aunt Doreen & Family, Christine & family..... We are so very sorry and heartbroken about Eric and we are thinking of you all at this sad and devastating time. Eric sure enjoyed life to the fullest, always teasing and carrying on with everyone, always loving to do the barbecuing at the family gatherings, and he was the "best". He was so thoughtful and caring and adored his special boys, Kyle and Brad. He was a great humanitarian, being so involved with his community and with his hockey family and golfing buddies, and so highly respected by everyone who knew him. Lots of wonderful memories to treasure in your hearts forever. Rest in Peace, my dear Cousin. Love, Marge & Barry xoxoxox

Dear Doreen, Ces, Christine, Brad, Brian and Suzanne,
We are so sad and shocked to learn of Eric's passing.
It seems like such a short while ago that "the boys" were running around on Inverness Ave., playing endless games, trying to behave in school, but mostly just be a step or two ahead of "little sister" Suzanne! Such great memories.
We send you prayers and our deepest sympathies, and hope to be "in touch" soon.
Stay well. Stay safe.
