" I am With You Still"
I give you this one thought to keep
I am with you still -do not weep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain
When you awaken in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not think of me as gone
I am with you still -in each new dawn

To Helena and Family
I didn't know your father very well as I only met him twice. Each time, he was a warm and welcoming gentleman. I do know that he was adored by his family and anyone who had the opportunity to know him well. The loss of a parent or partner is not any easy thing to get over. It can be a long and sometimes lonely journey. Remember to reach out to those around you. Tell stories about the silly things you did, the huge belly laughs that you shared, and the quiet times that he comforted you. These things will keep him in your day to day lives, even though he no longer occupies the seat beside you. Cancer is a brutal disease on the whole family. You watch your loved one slowly lose the battle and there is nothing that you can do to take the burden from them except to be there and love them for how ever long you have them. He was loved and he loved you all back. In the end that is what is really important. Tom is no longer struggling or enduring the pain, and for that I am thankful. Peace and love is being sent to you and your family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

His heart was so pure and the love he gave was unconditional to his family. I was very fortunate that I got to visit and spend time with him the last few years, I was honoured and so proud that he got me meet and hold my precious lily. We will miss you uncle Tom, you were truly one in a million. Until we meet again xo

My deepest condolences to Claire, Helena, Judy, Deanie, and John. I have nothing but beautiful memories of Tom from many years ago. He was so fun to be around and always so accepting of me. At a very young age I watched him and he taught me so much about being a man, loving your family and putting them first. His love for Claire and his 3 girls was beautiful and inspiring. May he rest in peace. Thinking of all of you during this difficult time.
