Hi There, I wanted to let the family know that Construction Safety Nova Scotia will be honoring Jack's memory at our AGM tomorrow May 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. for his contributions to safety in our industry.
Jack made a profound impact on safety in the construction industry.
Through his involvement working in the industrial sectors, Jack was a leader and pioneer in reforming and formalizing construction safety in Nova Scotia. Jack was instrumental in founding Construction Safety Nova Scotia and his passion for safe work in the construction industry was felt by all.
He served as the original Chairman of the Board of Directors representing the Construction Association of NS and led CSNS from inception in 1993 to 1998. Jack was instrumental in the early success and acceptance of the association by our industry. We are thankful for his contributions through the years and wanted to take a moment to honour his legacy.
If any members would like to join the AGM to observe our tribute here is the link to register https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_IIi3rTqPT2iK1R5FQNd5KA

I am deeply sorry for your loss, I know the heartache of losing a loved one. Soon the God of Comfort will bring an end to death and wipe away the tears from all faces, for this has been promised at Isaiah 25:8, where it says says,"He will swallow up death forever and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." We can also look forward to the marvelous hope brought out at Acts 24:15 It says "I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." So we see that those we lost in death will be brought back to life here on earth.Only Gods Kingdom...the Kingdom we pray for in Matthew 6: 9-10, the Lords prayer, can bring about this wonderful hope. I do hope you find comfort in this. If you wish to know more about this wonderful hope, please avail yourself to our website...www.jw.org.
Sincerely, Janet

Jack was an amazing friend to us and our family, and helped us so much over the years. I can’t imagine what we would have done without him. I can’t count the number of times I called him to ask a question about the house or property in Bear Cove, and his answer was always “I’ll be there in five minutes”. Everyone who worked with him and came to help us has been wonderful.
I think he lived a full and rewarding life, and never stopped until he was forced to — just the way he would have wanted it.
May his memory be a blessing.
Allen and Linda Finley..

My sincere sympathies to the Osmond family with the passing of Jack. He was one of my favourite people. On many occasions Jack was there to help us with our house and property in Halibut Bay. He was always cheerful, interested and insisting on providing whatever service he could. “ Call me anytime “ he would say as he left .. and then he would say “ I mean that “. And he did mean it and follow through. I am very thankful to have known him and very grateful for all his help. He built a great community by the coast, loved it dearly “ no better place to be”. I miss him driving down our street just to check on things .. and I will be looking for his spirit when I am out in nature in his community. Thank- you Jack ❣️
Jack loved his family, always speaking proudly of their achievements. All of our family ( Diana, Neil and Briana Ross) send sincere condolences to them all.

Jack, Cindy, Scott, April and Keane - I knew your father for many years. We did not always agree but we for sure respected each other's opinion. Busy times through the 1980"s. I can remember his telling me as the surveyor for LJC that sometime in the next 20 years there will be the capability for surveyors to read satellites and determine position on the earth to within millimetres. He was right and 20 years ahead of his time. He saw some leadership qualities in me that I didn't know existed and he pushed me to obtain my max.
I regret not getting in touch with him during the past few months. I believe he and I could have had some great conversations.
With deepest regards and condolences to the family,
Gord Hayward

I have known Jack for my entire 32-year engineering career. It was always a pleasure working on projects from time to time with Jack up until just recently. He brought lots of common sense, wisdom, and experience. He had some good stories about people and projects from years ago. He made the projects more enjoyable. He was always friendly and asked how I was doing. I really appreciated that! He will be missed!!
