My Condolences to the Franklin family at this time. I never sailed with "Benji" but both being Electricians and Control Techs we worked together in the 280 Section of CFFS Halifax from 1983 to 1987. I always looked forward to seeing him at our Electrical Reunions or chatting at Sobey's in Spryfield. Would see him walking and would pick him up and drive him home with his groceries.
It was always good to see him. RIP Ken. "May all your good deeds be a Blessing" to all you did for the Navy and Electrical Department.

Deepest condolences from the Haring family to the Franklin family. Benji was a good mentor, friend and sailor. Since we both left the navy I always look forward to meeting Benji from time to time walking or at Sobeys in Spryfield. RIP peace. Fair winds and following seas!

Benjie was a great online friend. We'd chat over our headsets both during and after games. He was always ready to explain the Grey Cup to his Yank friends, and when we added a Canadian flag icon to his login ledger on our voice over Internet app, he was delighted. He spoke often of his love for Canada, was proud of his service to his nation in the RCN, and while highly competitive in his favorite games never lost his sense of humor. Thank you to his family for sharing him with us. While we never met in person, he was nevertheless a real friend and I miss him already.

My deepest condolences to the Franklin family. Benji and I are good old Winnipeg boys who joined the navy in 67. Benji and I met up on many occasions as we progressed through our careers.Benji liked the new technology that was being introduced into our trade and was one of the many that wanted to know all he could to keep abreast of constantly changing technology. Will miss his humor and friendship.

My deepest condolences to the Franklin family. Benji and I crossed paths many times during our Navy careers and more then a few beers were joyously shared. He was the Control Tech that we all looked up to and who was always there to lend a helping hand to all. Benji you will be missed but fondly remembered at the Electrical re-unions

On behalf of the Naval Electrical Group I offer my condolences to Benji's family and his many friends at this time. Ken will not be forgotten for his support of the Navy and his many positions that he held. A well respected CPO who was highly regarded for his professionalism and dedication to the Navy. I worked with Ken in the 280 Section in the Engineering Division of Fleet School and enjoyed his attending our Electrical Get Togethers and our chats in Sobey's . He will be missed. Condolences to Barb & his family. May all his good deeds be a Blessing in his Memory. RIP Benji.
